Real Bride DIY: A Reception Card Box Tower

We love how simple this DIY project from real bride Autumn Boggs turned out. Here are her steps for creating your own card box to put out at your reception.

Step One: Buy four different size boxes. Autumn found hers in a craft store Christmas clearance sale.
Step Two: Spray paint the boxes your color of choice. (Tip: Follow Autumn’s lead and choose boxes that are already decorated with some kind of texture – the paint will make the pattern stand out.)

Step Three: Glue ribbon around the edge of each box top and cut a slit in the second box from the bottom for the cards. It's also a good idea to cut a hole in the bottom of this box so the cards can fall into the bottom box.

Step Four: Embellish your box tower with flowers, rhinestones, or whatever else you choose. Autumn also added the word "CARDS" in wooden letters.

That's it! To make the design your own, try mix-and-matching box shapes (for example: alternate square and round boxes in your tower) or consider decoupaging photos of you and your fiance. And for more ideas from this real bride, check out Autumn's wedding planning website.

Happy crafting!
